PM Imran holds long sittings with ministers on cabinet reshuffle

Prime Minister Imran Khan had long sittings with his cabinet members on Monday.
According to sources, performance of ministries and divisions came under discussion at these meetings. The prime minister was advised to include elected people instead of technocrats in his cabinet. According to sources, Shibli Faraz is likely to get energy sector portfolio, while Chaudhry Fawad Hussain is likely to have additional charge of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
The portfolio of the Civil Aviation Ministry is likely to go to another minister, while Asad Umar is going to get an additional responsibility. Sources say new faces will attend the federal cabinet meeting on Thursday.
In a related development, the prime minister replaced Hafeez Shaikh with Hammad Azhar as finance minister after the former failed to come up to his expectations and control the rate of inflation.
