Rs10 per litre hike in petrol price proposed

The government is planning to hike petrol price by Rs10 per litre owing to increase in international rate, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
During the last two weeks, US Brent oil prices touched $83.17 per barrel from 81 US dollar.
Amid increase in import cost, government was likely to hike petrol price by Rs10 per litre. If the proposed increase was implemented petrol price will touch Rs289.69 from the current Rs279.75 per litre.
While diesel price was likely to be reduced by one rupee 30 paisas. After cut in diesel price, price will touch Rs284.26. from the current Rs285.56.
The notification about hike in the prices of petroleum products will be issued on March 31.
