A two-member committee briefed the Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi about the issue of women prisoners.

SSP Investigation Dr Anush Masood and Lahore Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider met the CM and briefed him about their meeting with women prisoners in Kot Lakhpat Jail.

They rejected the reports of women inmates’ maltreatment and dubbed the reports as propaganda.

We met all women prisoners in Kot Lakhpat Jail and they were treated as per SOPs.

No one is being treated illegally, they told the chief minister, adding that no woman prisoner complained to them about mistreatment.
