Saiful Malook Lake
Location: Kaghan Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Altitude: 3,224 metres (10,578 feet)

Saif-ul-Maluk Lake is located near Naran, at the northern end of Kaghan Valley, and spans 2.5 square kilometers at an elevation of more than 10,000 feet. It is one of Pakistan's tallest and most picturesque lakes, with a depth of roughly 50 feet below the surface. Snow-capped mountains surround the lake, and melting glaciers from these peaks feed the lake, serving as the Kunhar River source. A 30-minute jeep trip from Naran Valley will take you to the lake.

Locals will tell you the story of Saif-ul-Maluk, in which the Prince of Persia fell in love with a fairy princess at this particular lake. Attabad Lake
Location: Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan

Another gorgeous high-altitude lake in Pakistan is found in Gojal, Hunza Valley. While the lake is natural, it was not even on the map until a landslide in 2010 blocked a stretch of the Hunza River, resulting in the formation of Attabad Lake. Because of its proximity to a town, the lake is also known as Gojal Lake.

Attabad Lake, the biggest lake in Gilgit-Baltistan, covers 13.5 square kilometers and is popular with national and international tourists. The lake's azure waters are 358 feet deep, and the leading sports enjoyed by visitors with a mountain background include boating, swimming, and jet skiing.

Rush Lake
Location: Nagar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan

Altitude: 4,694 metres (15,400 feet)

Rush Lake is Pakistan's highest lake at 15,000 feet. It's the world's 25th highest lake in Gilgit-Nagar Baltistan's Valley. The lake is only reachable by hiking through the Nagar and Hopar valleys or the Hopar Glacier and Miar Glacier. The path is dangerous, but the scenery is beautiful.

Satpara Lake
Location: Skardu Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan

Altitude: 2,637 metres (8,650 feet)

Satpara Lake is Pakistan's biggest freshwater lake, spanning 2.5 square kilometers. The Satpara Stream pours into the lake, supplying the Satpara Dam, which gives fresh water to Skardu Valley. The lake is beautiful in the winter, but roads are frequently closed to tourists, so plan a summer trip to Gilgit-Baltistan instead.

Ratti Gali Lake
Location: Neelum Valley, Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Starting from the Dowarian camp is the only route to get to the lake. It takes 2.5 hours to get to Dowarian in a 4x4 and then another hour to go up the mountain to reach the lake.

Sheosar Lake
Location: Deosai Plains, Gilgit-Baltistan

Altitude: 4,142 meters (13,589 feet)

In Deosai National Park, you can see Sheosar Lake's beauty. Lake Deosai is located on the world's second-highest plateau and is reachable in two ways. One route reaches the park from Skardu in a few hours by jeep, while the other from Astore in 4 hours by 4x4. From Skardu, the lake is a two-day journey. The park and lake are beautiful in April when wildflowers blossom. The 130-foot-deep lake has a mountain backdrop.

Lulusar Lake
Location: Naran Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Altitude: 3,410 metres (11,188 feet)

Dudipatsar Lake
Location: Kaghan Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Altitude: 3,800 metres (12,500 feet)

Dudipatsar Lake is located in the Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park in Kaghan Valley. The name translates to 'White Mountain Lake,' referring to the surrounding snow-capped mountains. The lake, also known as Dudipat Lake, can only be reached on foot. After parking your car at Besal, about an hour's drive from Naran, you may climb the 15 kilometers to the lake in less than ten hours. The length of time depends on your fitness level and pace. The views are breathtaking, and if trekking isn't your thing, consider renting a horse for the journey up the mountain.

Chitta Katha Lake
Location: Shounter Valley, Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Altitude: 3,962 metres (12,999 feet)

Chitta Katha is a lake in Shounter Valley whose name means 'White Stream' Lake is a source of the local stream with the same name. If you visit Kashmir, you'll go to Kel base camp to reach this lake. This picturesque lake in Pakistan is reached by a 20-kilometer jeep drive and a 5-kilometer trekking path.
