Reappointed Azam Nazeer Tarar assumes charge

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday reappointed Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar as the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A notification was issued by the cabinet division for the handing over of the portfolio of Law and Justice to Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday rejected the resignation of Azam Nazeer Tarar who had resigned as the federal minister a month ago citing personal reasons.
A delegation of federal ministers on Tuesday apprised Azam Nazeer Tarar of the prime minister’s decision.
The delegation comprising Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, and Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb visited Tarar’s residence and informed him that the prime minister wanted him to continue as the federal law minister.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar had resigned as the law minister on October 23. Upon his resignation, Ayaz Sadiq was given the portfolio of Law and Justice in addition to his duties as Minister for Economic Affairs.
During the meeting with the federal ministers, Azam Nazeer Tarar had accepted the request of the prime minister and promised to resume his duties on November 30, 2022.
