Terrorists from inside Afghanistan attacked Pakistani troops in the border area of Kharlachi in Kurram District yesterday.
According to the reports, Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner to the terrorists’ firing from Afghan territory at the border.
Resultantly, as per credible intelligence reports, due to the fire of their own troops, terrorists suffered heavy casualties.
However, during the fire exchange, Sepoy Jamshed Iqbal (age 27 years, resident of Chiniot), having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that the interim Afghan Government will not allow the conduct of such activities, in future.
Pak Army is determined to defend Pakistan’s borders against the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
