Azerbaijan's security service said Friday it had detained a top Nagorno-Karabakh commander suspected of involvement in "terrorist" activities in the rebel ethnic Armenian enclave.
It identified the man as Davit Manukyan, adding that he had risen to the rank of major general in the Armenian army before becoming the first deputy commander of the separatist force.
