Cop, accomplice gang-rape matric student in Sargodha

In a most ghastly incident, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) at Kot Momin in Sargodha, along with his accomplice, kidnapped a matriculation student and gang-raped her, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to reports, the culprits obtained the girl’s phone number from her father, who was in their custody, called her to the police station but later took her to a house in Moazamabad locality where she was subjected to a gang-rape.
On the other hand, DPO Sargodha Dr. Asad Ijaz has said that the ASI and his accomplice have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against them.
He has also constituted a special inquiry team, comprising SP Investigation and ASP Kot Momin, and ordered it to complete the probe into the incident on at the earliest.
The DPO has said that the matter is being investigated from all angles and the culprits will be given an exemplary punishment in the light of the inquiry report.
