Dacoits killed in attack on police van in Kot Radha Kishan

One dacoit was killed while his two companions and four policemen were critically injured when five dacoits attacked a police van to get freed their companions in Kot Radha Kishan Police Station in Phoolnagar jurisdiction, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
These dacoits committed a dacoity in Sarafa Bazaar Phoolnagar area in which one policeman Nadeem was injured in firing by the dacoits.
The police team along with arrested dacoits who were identified as Allah Waris from Lambay Jageer, Mushtaq alias Makhi from Bagarian Lahore, Ahmad Raza from Bonga Balochian was coming back after recovery. All the dacoits were booked in case registered against them under 957/958/24.
When the police van reached on Mega Road around five dacoits opened fire on the police vehicle and tried to get freed their companions.
The accused persons started firing directly on the police team. In response to their firing police team also retaliated with full force.
During heavy exchange of firing, dacoit Mushtaq alias Makhi was killed and his two companions Ahmad Raza and Shakeel were injured.
Four policemen also received bullet injures while the remaining dacoits escaped after freeing their companion Ali Waris from police custody. They also took away a police rifle.
Police team shifted the injured dacoits and policeman to Regional Headquarters Hospital Phoolnagar.
The police constituted various teams for the arrest of the dacoits.
Later, the police team said that arrested dacoits Allah was killed in a police encounter.
The police team said that after receiving the information of dacoity, they cordoned off the entire area of Basti Lal Shah. During checking of vehicles near Canal Pul they signaled two motorcyclists to stop but instead they opened fire on the police team directly.
During exchange of heavy firing which ended after 40 minutes one dacoit was injured. He told the police that his real name is Allah Waris. Police team was shifting him to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kot Radha Kishan but he died before reaching the hospital.
