FIA Lahore arrests human smuggler who duped citizen of Rs2.5m

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has arrested a human smuggler who allegedly took Rs2.5million from a citizen by promising him a job in the UK, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.
The suspect, identified as Asif Gul, was arrested from Okara after he went into hiding. He was involved in the heinous crime of human trafficking and had a case registered against him in the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore.
The FIA Lahore Zone, under the direction of Director Sarfaraz Virk, is conducting a crackdown on human smugglers and has started an investigation into the case.
The FIA spokesperson said that the agency is committed to curb the menace of human smuggling and protect the rights of the citizens.
