US envoy vows to continue supporting Pakistan’s economic stability

US Ambassador Donald Blome on Tuesday held a detailed meeting with Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad and discussed a raft of issues with him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the occasion, the finance minister underscored the long-term mutual relations between Pakistan and the United State of America (USA).

Ambassador Blome appreciated Pakistani government’s efforts and initiatives to improve macroeconomic indicators and assured the support of the United States in helping Pakistan achieve economic stability and sustainable growth.

Aurangzeb said there are promising prospects of enhancing trade between Pakistan and the US in the IT and digital services sectors. He said both countries are poised to benefit from closer economic ties.

The finance minister acknowledged the critical role of the US as Pakistan’s largest trading partner and a significant market for Pakistani goods and services.

Ambassador Donald Blome expressed his appreciation for the strong and enduring relationship between the United States and Pakistan and reiterated the US commitment to continue supporting Pakistan’s economic reforms and growth.

Both the sides expressed their desire to further strengthen bilateral relations, especially in the areas of trade and economy.

Meeting with envoy to China

Aurangzeb also underscored the importance of robust economic diplomacy and collaboration. Talking to Pakistan's Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi in Islamabad, he emphasized the need for greater economic partnerships in Pakistan's expanding economy.

Ambassador Khalil Hashmi briefed the Minister on his ongoing efforts to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and China. He shared details of high-level visits, exchanges, and agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations, especially in the areas of trade, investment, and economic collaboration.

They expressed commitment to further deepening the strategic and economic ties between Pakistan and China, recognizing the immense potential for mutual benefit in the years to come.
