Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Education Sajid Ahmad Khan Bhatti called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his residence in Lahore.

Bhatti briefed the speaker about the affairs of the department and the committee. The speaker lauded the performance of the parliamentary secretary.

Elahi said that everyone should appreciate the services of national institutions as these institutions are rendering unparalleled services for the country and the nation is proud of these services. He said that national institutions are the guarantor of Pakistan’s security. 

He said that political leaders have to focus on people’s problems in the interest of the country instead of focusing on negative politics. He said that members of the assembly play a role in solving people’s problems and people’s issues are highlighted in a good manner in the House with the strength of the parliamentary institutions. 

Hafiz Salman Butt’s Death

Pakistan Muslim League President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and MNA Moonis Elahi have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Salman Butt.

PML leaders in their condolence messages said, “We share the grief of Hafiz Salman Butt's family. Hafiz Salman Butt was a democratic leader who loved Pakistan. His services for the welfare of labourers will always be remembered. We all pray to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the deceased and grant you all patience.”
