Petrol, diesel prices may go up tonight

The federal government is likely to jack up petrol and diesel prices tonight which will be effective from February 1 for the next fortnight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Sources said that after an increase of Rs1.24 the petrol price will reach Rs257.37 from Rs256.13 per litre.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (ORGA) has also sought Rs4.49 increase in price of high-speed diesel (HSD).
After approval, the HSD will be available in the market at Rs265.44 per litre instead of Rs260.95.
The price of kerosene oil will also increase by Rs5.93 while price of light diesel will be enhanced by Rs5.5 per litre.
