Pakistan street child football team won first match BY 11-1 against Frig Oslo Club in Norway Cup, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In the first victory, Ahmad Raza scored 4 goals and Faisal Ahmed scored 2 goals on behalf of the national team.
National team captain Tufail Insari, Abdullah, Adeel, Muhammad Ali and Asif Ali scored one goal each.
The national street football child team will play its second match tomorrow with the Arol Al team while the team will play its third match on the first of August.
As per the historic background of the Pakistan street child football team, in April 2014 over 230 street kids from 19 different nations joined in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a football tournament for 10 days Football. Pakistan was also one of the teams from the 19 countries.
Pakistan was included in Group Three with Mauritius, Kenya, US and India. Pakistan defeated India by 13 goals to Nil. Star of the show was 15-year-old Raziq Mushtaq, who scored eight goals to leave the Indian defence in tatters.
“I am very happy to score eight goals. I have always dreamed of being a footballer, But I never dreamed of playing an event in Brazil, the land of football” said Raziq on the occasion.
Pakistan team fought very hard and made their way to the semifinals but lost to Burundi. The team still had the chance to play for the third position. which they successfully claimed after beating the United States. Pakistan won the game by a 3-2 score. They defeated the United States of America on penalty kicks in a tough time. And secured Third position in the Street world cup 2014.
“This bronze medal is also an achievement. God must have a better plan for us; it’s alright if we didn’t play in the final. This is also a victory for us” said the Azad Foundation official Itfan Maqbool.
The Pakistan team did not just secure the Third position but also Won the Hearts of many Pakistanis and build a great image amongst the other nations. And now this team is being trained for the next Street World Cup to Perform better to Win the World Cup.
