IHC orders immediate desealing of PTI Central Secretariat in Islamabad

The Islamabad High Court has ordered immediate desealing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Central Secretariat in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The court has also directed PTI to make fire prevention measures in the building.
Metropolitan Corporation's order to seal PTI office has been annulled. Justice Suman Rifat Imtiaz issued a 13-page written decision.
The court wrote in decision that PTI and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) authorities agreed to make 10 types of arrangements. The PTI agreed to install fire extinguishers on every floor.
The court ordered PTI will install roof fire pump, separate water tank and manual alarm system.
Gas detectors to protect the building's kitchen will be installed with display emergency numbers. Regular electrical wiring will be done in the building, court ordered.
Azam Swati’s bail confirmed
Islamabad’s District and Sessions Court confirmed PTI leader Azam Swati's bail in two cases filed against him under Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) over controversial tweets.
The court confirmed the surety bail against two bonds of Rs500,000 each.
The bail applications were heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka.
Azam Swati appeared before the court along with his lawyer Ali Bukhari.
Lawyer Ali Bukhari told the court that Azam Swati was arrested on November 27, 2022 and remained on physical remand for four days.
Azam Swati did not appear before the court and the court denied bail, lawyer Ali Bukhari said.
