The Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday fixed a hearing on a contempt of court petition filed against Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for allegedly using derogatory language about judges.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, LHC Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan will hear the case today on a petition of a woman Ayesha Kamran.
The channel said the petitioner Ayesha Kamran will appear in person to pursue her case.
The petitioner made the federal government, represented by the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, as a respondent in her petition.
In the contempt petition, Ayesha Kamran alleged that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif used inappropriate language regarding judges.
The petitioner appealed to the LHC for legal action against the Prime Minister for contempt of court.
