Another application has been filed against the appointment of three judges to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The Sindh Bar Council has said in its application that Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed, Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi have been appointed to the Supreme Court in violation of seniority rules. The Sindh Bar Council has asked the court to declare the notification relating to appointment of these judges null and void and appoint judges to vacant seats as per seniority rules.

The Sindh Bar Council has made the aforementioned three judges, the federation, the judicial commission and the parliamentary committee on appointment of judges, respondents in this case. The Council has said that appointment of the aforementioned three judges of the Lahore High Court to the Supreme Court has been made in violation of seniority rules and the Constitution of Pakistan.
