Hari Police bust auto-lifter gangs

Hari Police claimed to have busted an inter-provincial gang of car and bike lifters.
The police said it had recovered eight cars and 13 motorcycles from the five-member gang.
Following sharp increase in bike and car theft incident, Haripur DPO Dr Zahid Ullah Jan tasked DSP (Headquarters) Iftikhar Khan Swati with apprehending the criminals.
The DSP was provided with additional assistance of the five-member anti-car lifting cell.
The police raided various places for the arrest of the gangsters whose identity was later confirmed with the help of CCTV footage.
The arrested culprits were identified as Muhammad Adil, Tariq Khan, Jawad Khan, Naeem Gul, and Toqeer Ahmed.
With the help of information extorted from the accused, the police recovered eight stolen vehicles from different places.
In addition, the police also busted a two-member gang of Naveed Ahmed and Shahbaz that was involved in motorcycle lifting and recovered 13 bikes from the arrested accused.
