The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) doesn’t believe in the politics of hate, divide and backbiting, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said on Thursday.
Addressing the Workers Convention, he said: “You have to convey our 10-point manifesto to the people of Raiwind.”
He added: “In Raiwand, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz did not build any hospital to provide healthcare to the people.
“Nawaz Sharif is going to have a heartache on February 8. The PPP will build a hospital in Raiwand to alleviate this suffering.
He continued: “We want to tell all the political forces that we are contesting elections from all over Pakistan and we will win. We delivered … will do so again.
“Our party is not competing with any party. We are fighting against poverty, inflation and unemployment.
“Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto kept their work. I will keep my word too.
“As per our manifesto, we will double the income of the common people, provide the poor families with 300 units of free electricity, and ensure better public healthcare for every citizen.
The PPP chairman mentioned his party feats in Sindh saying: “We have set up hospitals for free treatment in every district of Sindh. I am building two million houses for flood victims in Sindh and the ownership rights of these houses will be given to the women."
He stressed: “If the government of PPP is formed, they will build 300,000 houses and give ownership rights. The slum residents will also be given their houses.
“The funds for the Benazir Income Support Programme will be increased. The PPP will bring in Mazdor card and Kisan card programmes after coming to power,” the former foreign minister said.
He averred: "The PPP will provide the youth with free education, scholarships, jobs, and interest-free loans and start a hunger eradication programme at the union council level.
"Bilawal Bhutto Zardari put a party muffler on Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Mayo who quit PML-N and joined the PPP."
