A miscellaneous application for an early hearing and suspension of sentence has been filed in the Nikkah case of Bushra Bibi on Tuesday.

The petition was filed in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka.

Advocate Salman Safdar filed the petition on behalf of Bushra Bibi.

The counsel stated that we have been giving arguments in the marriage case since February.

Bushra Bibi is also sick, Lawyer Salman Safdar told the court.

The court remarked that the file of Nikah's case was marked yesterday and the case was called five times, but no one appeared.

That is why the date of 25th June has been set in the marriage case, Judge Afzal Majoka further remarked.

The lawyer also requested the court that Eid is also coming so Bushra Bibi's request for suspension of sentence should be heard.

Do you want to give arguments before Eid or after Eid? Judge Afzal Majoka remarked.

The court remarked if you want then court can issue notice on Bushra Bibi’s request.

However, the court called for arguments on June 11 on Bushra Bibi's request for suspension of punishment.
