The Supreme Court has fixed the hearing of petitions filed by the disgruntled members of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf challenging their de-seating by the Election Commission of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
A three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial and comprising Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Ayesha Malik will hear the petitions on Nov 9.
The election commission de-seated 25 disgruntled members of the Punjab Assembly belonging to the PTI on a reference sent by the party Chairman Imran Khan.
The renegade PTI MPAs voted in favour of Hamza Shehbaz during the Punjab chief minister election in the assembly in April.
The disgruntled lawmakers have challenged the ECP decision of their de-seating in the Supreme Court.
