Colourful Jashn-e-Pakistan Polo Tournament kicks off in Gilgit-Baltistan

The largest polo event in the northern regions of Pakistan is set to begin at the scenic location of Gilgit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The "Jashn-e-Pakistan Polo Tournament," organized under the patronage of the Force Commander Northern Areas, will start tomorrow at the Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground in Gilgit.

A total of 15 teams are participating in the tournament, and for the first time, teams from Chitral will also compete. Previously, Gilgit-Baltistan's teams faced off on the highest-altitude polo ground in Shandur. 

Over the ten-day event, all participating teams will take to the field with dreams of victory, and Polo fans can look forward to thrilling matches throughout the tournament.

All matches of the Jashn-e-Pakistan Polo Tournament will be played under floodlights, adding to the excitement of the event.

President of the Gilgit-Baltistan Polo Association, Kashif Zia, warmly welcomed polo enthusiasts, stating, "I welcome all polo fans to the Jashn-e-Pakistan Polo Tournament." The local community is showing great enthusiasm and excitement for this event.
