Rains and a new series of snowfall in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is likely to start tomorrow, 24NewsHD TV channel Friday reported citing Meteorological Department.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) director general said that instructions had been conveyed to the agencies concerned regarding precautionary measures for rains and snowfall.

“In the upper districts, snowfall and landslides may cause obstructions on the link roads. The district administration must ensure the availability of small and heavy machinery,” the PDMA letter read.

“Rains are likely to reduce fog. They are also likely to reduce the temperature during the day,” it added.

“Rains and snowfall are likely to continue intermittently till Monday,” it stated and directed the authorities concerned to inform the tourists about the weather situation.
