In a bizarre incident, it has taken only four Taliban soldiers to take control of a whole district in Afghanistan as Taliban continue taking hold of the country after the departure of the US-led army alliance.
According to the Afghan Urdu tweet, only four Taliban arrived in the Wakhan district of Badakhshan province in a vehicle and took control of the whole district. The people of Wakhan district warmly welcomed the Taliban as the Taliban took over the district without any residents. Most of the residents of the districts belong to the Ismaeli sect.

Wakhan District is one of the 28 districts of Badakhshan Province in eastern Afghanistan. The total population for the district is about 13,000 residents. The district has three international borders: Tajikistan to the north, Pakistan to the south (specifically Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral District), and with the Chinese autonomous region of Xinjiang to the east.
The capital of the district is the village of Khandud, which has a population of 1,244. It is the only district in Afghanistan which contains a population of Kyrgyz people.
