Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has said the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have seconded the decision to dissolve the Punjab Assembly, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Q has been told that the assembly will be dissolved in December, the PTI leader said. “We hope that the implementation of the decision will bring about a change in the policy adopted against the PTI for the past eight months,” the former minister maintained.
The apolitical role of institutions has not been seen so far, he said adding that the nation is eying the situation. He raised concerns about the Election Commission’s actions against the party. “We expect impartial decisions. We raise public issues. We want to make Pakistan a democratic state. People have pinned hopes on Imran Khan. The PTI chief has solutions to all problems,” he stressed.
Ties with Afghanistan are uncordial and India has been up to cash in on the situation, Fawad Ch said. Ex-minister Hamad Azhar said the businessmen has informed Imran Khan about the devastating economy. The situation was not so bad during the coronavirus epidemic, he said adding that the dollar is unavailable in the open market.
The coalition government has nothing to do with economic revival, he said stressing that the ruling persons wanted their cases closed. As soon as their cases are closed, they will flee abroad. “Inflation is on the rise, he said, adding that hoarding and profiteering continue unabated. No minister has specifics to overcome the crisis.”
Shah Mahmood Qureshi told the media yesterday that Imran Khan was determined to dissolve assemblies in KP and Punjab in a few days. “We want that before Ramazan, the election process should be completed and governments should be formed,” Qureshi said, adding that Imran was clear on his stance that there should be no delay in the dissolution of assemblies.
