CAA extends ban on charter flights until April 21

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Thursday issued a fresh NOTAM (notice to airmen) intimating that the country’s airspace would remain closed until April 21 for charter aircrafts.

According to the NOTAM, the ban has been extended from April 10 to April 21. Charter planes and helicopters of Punjab CM, Sindh CM and Balochistan CM would not be allowed to fly during this period, said the NOTAM.  

Light planes of Lahore Flying Club, Multan Flying Club, Peshawar Flying Club and Rawalpindi Flying Club would not be allowed to use the airspace during the above said period, said the NOTAM.

According to the NOTAM, planes would only be allowed to fly in an emergency situation after taking permission from the authority.
