Karachi to Peshawar bound passenger train narrowly escaped from a major accident after breaking cup-link near Whab Shah Railway Station Matiari, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Due to the broken cup-link of the Awami Express, the moving train split into two parts, causing panic among the passengers.

A passenger said that Awami Express is saved from a major accident due to low speed of the train.

The passenger train has been re-connected the cup-link by the railway administration and both railway tracks were also restored, the station master said.
