Lahore Police make multiple arrests in crackdown on one-wheelers on Eid

In a province-wide crackdown on the dangerous stunt of one-wheeling, Lahore police have arrested several violators in various operations, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Tuesday.
The Gulberg police detained seven one-wheelers from Main Boulevard during a routine patrol operation. The arrested individuals—identified as Jabir, Mubashir, Zaeer, Khalid, Aslam, Kashif, and Ehsan—were taken into custody along with their motorcycles.
A police spokesperson stated that these individuals were causing public disturbance with their reckless stunts and noise pollution. A case has been registered against them.
Meanwhile, the Dolphin Squad conducted a citywide operation, arresting 58 one-wheelers from various locations, including Mughalpura, Defense, Ghalib Market, Shalimar, and Ferozepur Road.
The Dolphin Squad spokesperson emphasized that violators were caught in action and immediately detained. The arrested individuals, including Atif, Azan, Ahmed, Ali, and Noman, have been handed over to their respective police stations.
SP Model Town Akhlaqullah Tarar reiterated that one-wheeling is a life-threatening sport and urged parents to counsel their children.
SP Dolphin Shah Mir Khalid warned that those engaging in one-wheeling will have to spend Eid in jail as strict measures are in place to prevent accidents and public nuisance.
Authorities have implemented a comprehensive strategy to curb one-wheeling and aerial firing during the festive period. The Dolphin Squad’s in-charge stated that a noticeable reduction in such activities has been observed due to their proactive measures.
Calling one-wheeling a “bloody game”, SP Khalid emphasized that parents must take responsibility to prevent their children from engaging in such reckless behavior. Police have urged citizens to report any such incidents immediately to ensure public safety.
