President Asif Ali Zardari was rushed to a private hospital in Karachi late Monday night after his health deteriorated, reported 24News HD TV channel.

According to sources within the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), President Zardari is currently undergoing treatment, with doctors conducting necessary medical tests to assess his health.

Security has been heightened around the hospital, with police and law enforcement agencies deployed to ensure the safety of the president and medical staff.

Strict security protocols are in place, preventing unauthorized individuals from accessing the hospital premises.

Just a day before his hospitalization, President Zardari had participated in Eidul Fitr prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah.

He was joined by a large number of attendees, including Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Provincial Minister Ali Hassan, and Zia Lanjar.

The president prayed for the country’s progress and later exchanged Eid greetings with those present.

This is not the first time President Zardari has faced health-related concerns in recent years.

In 2024, he suffered a foot fracture while disembarking from a plane at Dubai Airport during a private visit to the United Arab Emirates.

He was immediately taken to the hospital for medical assistance, where doctors applied a plaster to his foot and advised him to rest for four weeks. As a result of the injury, an official visit to China had to be postponed.

As of now, no official statement has been released regarding President Zardari’s current health condition.

His hospitalization has raised concerns among party members and political circles, with many awaiting further updates from the President's House.
