Yamaha, the motorbike maker, has increased the prices of its motorbikes from Rs6,000 to Rs7,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The company announced the decision to increase the rate of its products on Wednesday.
After the price boost, the new rate of Yamaha’s BRZ 125CC is now Rs180,000 whereas YBR 125CC is now available for Rs211,000 after an increase of Rs7,000 in its price.
The new price of YBRG is Rs220,500.
The rise in prices of motorcycles has put the dealers in a spin who were concerned that the increase in rates every now and then has deterred the customers whose capacity to purchase is eroding fast.
Last month, Atlas Honda had raised prices of some models to partially offset rising costs due to depreciation in rupee value, the company said.
The company had increased prices in the range of Rs4,000 and Rs6,000.
It is the seventh time in this year the company had increased prices of motorbikes. It raised prices of CD-70 and CD Dream by Rs4,000. The new prices were Rs94,900 and Rs101,500, respectively.
The biggest hikes in prices were seen in CB125F-SE, CB-150F (Red and Black) and CB-150F (Silver). Following Rs6,000 price boost, the three bikes were now priced at Rs218,500, Rs273,500 and Rs277,500 respectively.
