A son of DIG Azfar Mahesar hit a woman while driving his father’s official car carelessly on the eve of New Year Night celebrations in Garden area of Karachi. The woman was badly injured in the incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) City claimed that the double-cabin vehicle of DIG’s son did not hit the woman instead she herself collided with the official vehicle of DIG.
The security guard who was also boarded the official vehicle started firing after the incident.
The SSP City said that they have not arrested the son of the DIG.
Later the police team shifted the injured woman, Hina, to a local hospital for first-aid.
Later on Wednesday, the Garden police were trying their utmost to hide true actual story behind the accident involving DIG’s son who was driving the DIG's official car .
When 24NewsHD channel contacted SHO Zubair Nawaz to inquire about the police stance, he replied that the woman was still untraceable.
Later he said that the woman was not interested in to pursue the case and to take legal action against the responsible person.
He further clarified that the women was not injured in the accident and she did not undergo MLO but he confirmed his contact with the woman.
SHO Zubair Nawaz strongly denied that the son of DIG was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Injured woman rejects police stance
The woman namely Hina strongly rejected police’s statement regarding accident.
When contacted by 24NewsHD TV channel, the husband of the injured woman also dismissed police statement and said that they were riding motorcycle when suddenly a police vehicle which was driven by the son of the DIG hit them from behind resulting in injuries to his wife and his 10-year-old son.
He also said that his wife received severe injures on the back. He further said that his wife became unconscious after the accident.
When the 24NewsHD TV channel asked the husband whether he wanted to pursue the case he nervously replied three times no, no and never.
It is necessary to mention here that the SHO denied that the woman was injured in the accident.
