Alibaba founder Jack Ma makes surprise visit to Pakistan

Chinese billionaire Jack Ma, who is also the founder and co-chairman of renowned international business group Alibaba, has made a surprise visit to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Sources have told 24News TV channel that Ma, accompanied by a delegation, has reached Pakistan from Nepal onboard a chartered flight of Hong Kong business aviation.
They have disclosed that five Chinese, a Danish and a US citizens are included in the delegation.
They have informed that Chinese business magnate and members of his delegation during their stay in Pakistan will explore business opportunities in the country.
They will also travel to different trade centers, and meet with leading businessmen of the country besides holding meetings with the office-bearers of different chambers of commerce, the sources have added.
Former state minister and Board of Investment (BOI) chairman Muhammad Azfar Ahsan shared, in a tweet, that Jack Ma "is actually in Lahore on purely a private visit." He claimed "China embassy is also not aware of the details of his visit and engagements here."
According to Azfar’s disclosure, Jack Ma’s visit to Pakistan was purely private in nature, and he chose to stay in Lahore during his time in the country.

Jack Ma Yun is a Chinese business magnate, investor and philanthropist. He is the co-founder of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate. In addition, Ma is also the co-founder of Yunfeng Capital, a Chinese private equity firm.

Ma was the most high-profile Chinese billionaire to have disappeared amid a crackdown on tech entrepreneurs. He recently returned to China after more than a year overseas, according to the South China Morning Post.
