A Serene Air flight which was due to bring back Hajis from Madinah to Islamabad was delayed for over 14 hours, ruining the happy return journey of the pilgrims, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The anxious Pakistani Hajis lodged a painful complaint, urging the airline’s administration and senior government officers to take notice of their ordeal. They also flayed the non-cooperation of the Federal Ministry for Religious Affairs.

The flight ER-902 which was due to touch down at Islamabad International Airport at 11:00 pm on Sunday night never took off from Madinah International Airport.

Passengers said they were sent off to airport from their hotel in a bus at 4:00 pm yesterday but the flight has been missing since then.

The airline staff at the Madinah Airport tried to calm the passengers by promising to send them back on available flights.
