Durable peace linked to resolution of disputes, says COAS Bajwa

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa has highlighted the importance of professional training and proper preparedness of servicemen for lasting peace, ISPR said on Monday.
A professionally-trained and well-prepared military guarantees peace and stability and the officers should pursue the policy of professional excellence, the army chief said in an address at Command and Staff College Quetta.

The COAS said lasting peace in the region depends on resolve longstanding disputes. He shed light on concerted efforts to cope with the challenges, saying that the armed forces along with other state institutions will cope with the challenges emerging in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
Public backing is the real power of the Pak Army, the COAS said and reiterated his team’s resolve to back the government to win the war on coronavirus. Earlier on arrival the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf, Commander Southern Command & Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, Commandant Command & Staff College Quetta.
