Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday asked the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership to provide the list of 25 party workers who, it claimed, were "killed by the law-enforcement agencies", reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media during his surprise visit to Lahore’s Lady Willingdon Hospital, he said right now only 11 PTI female workers were in prisons in the province.
He further said that Thalassemia, a blood disease, could be overcome by adopting a better strategy. “The Punjab government will talk to the people and health institutions combating spread of the disease,” he added.
Earlier, he was welcomed by MS Zohra Khan on arrival at the hospital.
Vice-Chancellor King Edward University Mahmood Ayyaz, provincial minister Javed Akram, and Health Secretary Ali Jan also accompanied the chief minister to the hospital.
CM Naqvi attended a flag-hoisting ceremony at the hospital.
He also planted a sapling at the hospital premises.
He also visited the hospital’s Emergency and Surgical wards as well as dispensary.
Expressing shock over the state of Surgical Ward’s building, the chief minister ordered its reconstruction at the earliest.
