Police in Karachi book several persons for raising anti-state slogans

Police in Karachi yesterday booked around 12 persons for raising anti-state slogans in the wake of lynching of two telecom employees by the residents of Machar Colony a couple of days ago, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

According to the text of the FIR registered at Artillery Maidan police station of the city, while the members of different parties were protesting against the incident outside the press club, some of them started shouting anti-state slogans.  

“Not only that, they also started inciting other protestors, around 200 of them, to raise similar slogans,” read the FIR.  

Furthermore, the FIR said, more than eight of these protestors, including Inam Abbasi, Ilahi Bux, Sarang Joyo, Ijaz Samait, Azad Jatoi, Nizam Noorani, Majeed Lond and Rasheed Khoso, incited others to resort to vandalism.
