The Lahore High Court (LHC) Thursday reserved the decision on the petition against the arrest of former Punjab Chief Minister Parvaiz Elahi in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) case after the arguments of both parties, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Justice Amjad Rafiq is hearing the petition of Ch Parvaiz Elahi. The reserved decision in the case will be announced soon.
Earlier, the court ordered NAB lawyers to produce Parvaiz Elahi in the court but the Nab lawyers took plea that he cannot be produced in the court due to security reasons.
The lawyers stated that Parvez Elahi's life is in danger. For this, it can be brought out only through special arrangements.
The court inquired the NAB lawyer what are the security reasons on which the lawyer argued that Counter Terrorism Department informed that Parvez Elahi’s life is in danger.
In his arguments, Parvez Elahi’s lawyer Amjad Parvez stated that the method given for the arrest of Parvez Elahi was not adopted.
