Another death takes Lahore corona toll to five

The death toll from coronavirus in Lahore rose to five on Thursday as another patient died.

A 35-year-old woman died from the coronavirus in Mayo Hospital. In addition to the novel infection, she was also suffering from liver malfunction.

The number of infected patients in Lahore has reached 178 while in Punjab the figure stands at 845 with ten deaths.

Currently, there are as many as 81 confirmed coronavirus patients under treatment in Lahore’s Mayo Hospital.

The medical staff has advised people to stay at homes in the wake of the grave situation which led the federal government yesterday to extend the lockdown for another two weeks.
