Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Moonis Elahi on Friday held a consultation with PTI chief Imran Khan over the dissolution of the Punjab assembly.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Moonis Elahi paid a surprise visit to PTI Chairman Imran Khan here at Zaman Park and delivered a special message from his father CM Punjab Pervez Elahi to Imran Khan.

The sources said that the former federal minister Moonis Elahi once again assured the PTI Chairman that the Punjab Assembly will be dissolved at his call.

The sources added that Imran Khan's offer of talks to the government was also discussed in the meeting which lasted one and a half hours.

The meeting between the two leaders also discussed the situation created after the interview of Moonis Elahi on a private channel.

In his interview, he revealed that former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa had advised them to back PTI when the no-confidence motion was moved against former prime minister Imran Khan.

Moonis said PTI and PDM had made offers to them, however, Gen (retd) Bajwa asked them to support the Imran Khan-led party.
