Punjab CM issues deadline for completing Holy Family Hospital upgradation

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi early Saturday and gave a deadline to complete the upgradation work of the hospital by January 31, 2024, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During his detailed visit, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the progress on the upgradation work of the hospital for two hours.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed his anger over seeing the quality of the tiles installed on the floor and ordered to replace them.
He instructed that quality should be ensured in the upgradation work and any negligence in quality of work will not be tolerated.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also inspected the ongoing construction activities in the hospital's old building, OPD and various wards.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi went to the basement, ground floor and first floor, directing to speed up the construction activities and instructed to complete the project ahead of time by continuing 24 hours work on the project.
Talking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the work on the old and new blocks of the hospital is being completed ahead of schedule.
He said that 33 percent of the Old Block work has been completed whereas 26 percent of the work was to be completed by December 1 and ccess roads to Holy Family Hospital are also being widened.
He said that efforts are being made day and night for the improvement of the health sector in Punjab.
Upgradation of more than 100 hospitals is underway and will be completed soon, revealed Mohsin Naqvi.
He said that all efforts are being made to improve the condition of hospitals.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also presided over a meeting regarding the review of the upgradation work of the hospital.
During meeting, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi was briefed about the progress on the upgradation work.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed the concerned authorities to complete the upgradation work of Holy Family Hospital soon.
Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health Dr. Nasir Jamal, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Secretary Health, Secretary Construction and Communications, Commissioner Rawalpindi, RPO Rawalpindi and related officials were also present on the occasion.
