Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered to resign if the Opposition leaders return the looted money, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Imran Khan said “Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maulana must give back the looted wealth if they want me to go.”
The prime minister maintained that one should have the courage to tender resignation. “How can such people resign who are after an NRO. Still, if they return their loot today I will resign tomorrow,” he added.
Addressing the federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, Imran Khan said “January 31 has long gone. There was no sit-in, no public and no resignations.”
The cabinet endorsed the decisions of ECC and CPEC committee while it deferred the matters of renewal of AHS International Airline’s Licence and preservation of historical sites. The meeting was briefed about Naya Pakistan Housing Authority and it approved a policy for running 200 government buses for schoolchildren.
It was informed about the formation of a cabinet committee about the missing persons. The committee would formulate its recommendations in six weeks. The cabinet approved a panel comprising neutral persons for the alternative system of dispute resolution under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act 2017.
