Barrister Shahzad Elahi appointed new attorney general

President Arif Alvi has approved appointment of Barrister Shahzad Ata Elahi, a Supreme Court advocate, as Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Shahzad Ata Elahi was appointed as AGP after Mansoor Usman Awan had declined to accept the post.
The President granted the approval of the appointment in accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and Rules of Business.
