A man was killed when his motorcycle hit a landmine in Sibi Mithri on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, Asad Ullah, s/o Wahid Baukhsh, was going to fetch drinking water on his motorcycle. When reached Izat Shah area near Sibi Mithri, his two-wheeler hit a landmine that exploded with a bang, killing the rider on the spot.

The Levies force personnel rushed to the place of the incident. An Edhi ambulance took the poor man’s body to Sibi Civil Hospital.

The incident occurred a day after six soldiers of the Pakistan Army sustained injuries in a blast in Quetta.

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia said blamed the blast on India and said extremist groups might be used for such terrorist activity.

Backed by lawmen, rescuers rushed to the explosion site and shifted the injured to a hospital.

The minister paid tribute to the lawmen for their sacrifices in the fight against terrorists and reiterated the resolve to continue with efforts to maintain law and order.

A few days ago, four soldiers, including a junior commissioned officer, embraced martyrdom in a blast on the Marget-Quetta Road.
