Though the government has started a vigorous vaccination campaign to end coronavirus pandemic all across the country, yet some people working in medical facilities never stop from pilfering vaccines from the government supplied quota in a bid to make an extra profit while offering out of turn jabs to those who need it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The News24 TV channel detected one such case in the Qambar area of Sindh on Wednesday.

Reportedly, 150 doses of Covid-19 were stolen from Qambar District Health Office. The district administration has ordered an investigation into the pilferage.

According to sources, the corrupt elements in the District Health Office are offering vaccine doses to those people who intend to go abroad for Rs15,000 per person.

The sources said the health department has summoned DG Health Hyderabad to Qambar and ordered an investigation against DHO Qambar Iqbal Jagirani.

The DG Health said if DHO Qambar did not appear before the inquiry committee then legal action would be taken against him.
