National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal Wednesday sought a report on the probe into ‘China Cutting’ around the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah within a week.
The chief also directed the NAB Karachi chapter to launch fresh inquiries over public complaints and reports so that public money could be retrieved. He sought a report on ongoing probes in Karachi within seven days.
The NAB Karachi chapter was probing the role of Quaid-i-Azam mausoleum management, Cosmopolitan Society, and abuse of power by officials of the Building Control Authority (SBCA).
Javed Iqbal also assigned a probe into public money looting in the name of investment in the business tyre business.
The probe was assigned after a TV anchor and locals made complaints against Atif Zaman that he looted the millions of rupees in the name of the tyre business. The complaint registered with local police has also been clubbed.
The NAB chief ordered the Karachi wing of the bureau to complete probe into complaints of power cuts against K-electric within three months.
