Pakistan cricket team’s fast bowler Khurram Shahzad has said he aims to play Test cricket for Pakistan and to bring glory to the nation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference at the end of the third-day play of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, Khurram acknowledged the challenging partnership between Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Mirza that allowed Bangladesh to recover and post a competitive score.
"The wicket was helpful, but their partnership was well-constructed, which is why they managed to score as much as they did," he explained.
Khurram, who has been one of the standout performers for Pakistan in this Test by taking six wickets, said, “We always try to stay positive, and I hope our batting lineup can win this match."
He added that Pakistan’s batting lineup had the potential to chase down the target and secure victory.
"As professionals, we prepare ourselves for every situation. Even when Bangladesh’s partnership was flourishing, our focus was on breaking it with patience," he said.
