Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League founder Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan understands that country cannot afford any more political instability. He said it does not matter if elections are held two months before or after, the politics of the PDM has buried maintaining that dissolving assemblies isn’t an issue, but the real objective is to save the tattered economy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Taking to his Twitter handle on Saturday, Sh Rashid wrote: “I had a detailed meeting with Imran Khan for half an hour. He thinks that the country cannot afford any more political instability. Elections are inevitable. Political and economic stability is the guarantee of national security. It does not matter if elections are held two months before or after. The politics of the PDM has buried. It is not a problem to dissolve assembly, but the real purpose is to save country’s tattered economy.”

Fawad seeks parallel between listless Pindi pitch and PDM govt

Meanwhile, former information minister and PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry took a jibe at the set-up makers who have brought the coalition government seeking a parallel between the dead and listless Rawalpindi cricket ground pitch laid down for Pakistan and England match and the PDM government.

In his tweet posted today, Fawad Ch wrote: “The Rawalpindi Test wicket is more dead, lifeless and worthless than the PDM government. Like the current set-up makers, the wicket-makers have not thought at all about what the public will think. It is hoped that for next match, the pitch-makers will make such pitch which will help decide the contest on merit.”
