Pakistani singer, music composer and songwriter Rabi Pirzada appeared in Nadia Ali’s podcast where she shared her battle with depression after her compromised videos spread like wildfire on all social media platforms.
Talking about it, she revealed that she doesn’t listen to music anymore. She said, “I was a different person when I performed Umrah. Once, I was going somewhere with my family and the radio was playing in the car. Suddenly, a song of mine started playing on the radio and I instantly regretted it.”
“I came into the showbiz industry and started singing at a very early age, therefore, quitting showbiz was very difficult for me,” she continued.
She continued saying: “I became suicidal at one point in my life thinking that my creation is useless. Then, I prayed to Allah to show me the true path and give me strength. I had a lot of offers back then from the artists I always wanted to work with. But that was the point where I hold back myself. I realized the purpose of my life afterwards.”
“Quran and remembrance of Allah gave me strength and a purpose to relive the rest of my life according to the tenets of my religion,” she told the host.
