An earthquake of 4.9 magnitude shook Islamabad and surrounding areas on Wednesday afternoon panicking residents and office attendees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), the epicentre of the quake was Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.

The NPMC said the quake’s impact was 137 kilometres under the ground.
