Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to relocate its planned rally from Rawat to Swat on June 8 after the Islamabad district administration permitted the party to hold a rally at the Rawat venue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.

The decision was made during an important consultative meeting of PTI leadership in Islamabad. The meeting saw the participation of Party Chairman Barrister Gohar, Secretary General and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan, Asad Qaiser, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, and other key leaders. Information Secretary Rauf Hasan and Firdous Shamim Naqvi were also present.

PTI leaders expressed their disappointment over the administration's rejection to permit PTI to hold a rally at F-9 Park, terming it an act of bad faith.

They argued that the administration designated a remote location to disrupt the rally, which they believe is their democratic and constitutional right to hold peacefully.

The party leaders decided to challenge the permit denial in court and requested alternate locations such as F-Nine Park, Parade Ground, or Tarnool.

However, in light of the current situation, PTI leadership resolved to hold a grand rally in Swat on June 8 instead.

A spokesperson for the Tahuffaz-e-Aain-e-Pakistan Tehreek confirmed that the opposition alliance will fully participate in the Swat rally.
